"Thank You"
On November 25th, 2016 our house burned. No one was injured but we lost everything in the house. On November 26th we were led to the people at Dalton House where each of us was given your nice "basic needs" gift. You cannot know how much this meant to us. We have used every item therein.
God smiled when he made you, we smiled when we received your kindness. Keep up the good work and know that it is well received.
God Bless each and everyone of you.

Adopting a Missionary
Ms. Mary Jo Courtney, daughter of Chuck and Jane Courtney (our WMU Director Elect), is currently doing missionary work at Arizona State University. Below is her story and needs. Have you ever considered adopting a missionary? Please pray and share this with your group. Together we can be a part of "Feeding His sheep" (John 21:15-17)

Mary Jo is a MSC (Mission Service Corp) missionary with the North American Mission Board (NAMB). She is working with international students at Arizona State University. There are 12,000 internationals there from 5 main countries: India, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, China, and Taiwan. Four of these countries are closed to most missionaries but while they are here they are often open to the gospel.
Mary Jo has been volunteering with a group on campus that teaches English and shares the gospel. Now she is doing this full time. Her backgroun as a Journeyman who taught English, and her love for international students, makes this a perfect fit. The only issue now is just raising the money to make her able to support herself.

DJJ Ministry: Thank You

I would like to thank everyone for such a great event (First Annual Fall Festival @ DJJ). I cannot wait to do it again. It went extremely well and the youth enjoyed every bit of it. May God continue to bless all of you. Thank you.

Because of your faithful support of this ministry, every adult inmate in SC State Correctional facilities got a Christmas packet. By working together with our churches and associations we were able to deliver 24,000 packets this year!
The Christmas Prisoner Packet Project is the only one of its kind in the country that reaches all state inmates. Thanks to all the volunteers, WMU leaders and churches!

Spread the Word!

If your church is going on a mission trip in 2017 and interested in inviting volunteers from other churches to join you, we would be glad to spread the word! Please let us know here at the association when you are going on mission trips so we can be in prayer for you.

Associational Brotherhood
There has been a desire to organize an associational brotherhood, which would allow a joint effort for our churches to meet monthly and discuss mission projects locally as well as abroad. Please contact Rick Jackson (803-707-4212) or Dr. Porter (534-9712) with questions.

Special thanks to Bill Courtney, Adrian Haigler, and Rickey Redmond (all on our pulpit supply list) for their wonderful reach-out ministries in local nursing homes. These men visit area nursing homes and pray, preach, and have revivals for many seniors in our community.
